I have been looking at several different string trimmers, Husqvarna, Stihl, Honda...ect. I am really heavily leaning towards the Stihl FS94R. I prefer 2 stroke for the light weight and simplicity but wasn't ruling 4 stroke out. All the reviews I have seen on the FS94R have been good that I have seen. Does anyone on here have one?

The Hondas I was looking at were the HHT25SLTA and the HHT35SLTA. I was able to handle a HHT25SLTA and it was fairly heavy but not too bad. The 35 is about 2 lbs heavier than the 25. I have always liked Honda for their reliability and longevity but them 4 strokes are heavy in comparison.

What do you think of the Stihl FS94R?

Not sure if anyone is here or not but I went ahead and ordered a new FS94R at the Stihl dealer today. They said they should have it in Monday.

I doubt anyone is listening but I picked up my Stihl FS94R today. Very nice, light weight and perfectly balanced.

I am happy with my FS240R. It's on the verge of heavy, but the power is ridiculous for anything but what I have; huge amounts of tall grass and heavy weeds. I call it Mr. Chlorophyll, because all the plant life it comes in contact with gets sprayed out in short order.

Just an update. I liked the FS94R so much I bought a 2nd one in 2018. Both are still running great with no issues at all. I put a grass blade on the first one.
