Echo 310 or 3510 - Which Do I Go With?

Hi all!

My first time here and first time posting. I'm looking to get a 16" Echo chainsaw. I've researched the heck out of the 310 and the 3510 models and am torn which one to go with. The price difference is $80.

The saw will be primarily used for cutting up fallen limbs, nothing special at all. I am no Paul Bunyan falling trees on a daily basis, if at all lol.

What I do like about the 3510 is the better air filter design (easer to replace) and the spring back on/off switch compared to the 310's toggle. The 3510 also conveniently placed the fuel lines so they are quite easy to replace which in the future can be pretty important and save headaches. I'm just still not convinced as a home owner just cutting up smaller stuff is worth the $80. Would love feedback!

Welcome to the forum EchoLover2023!
310 and the 3510 models
I'm only going by quickly comparing the two along with a few reviews. Myself, my vote goes to the 3510 for that little bit of added power and lighter weight (IF what I read is correct).
Also, from what I gathered a 14" bar is better suited to the 310.
Let us know which way you go.

I like my little Stihl cordless. Alot. Yeah, they are pricey but I find it very handy, a worthwhile expense for me. My top reason for purchase was the lack of the familiar vibrations associated with a gas saw.
I've had it a few years now, no battery issues (knock on wood). I know a fella who can replace the batteries inside the housing should they fail.

Between the Echo 310 and Echo 3510 chainsaws, the Echo 3510 would generally be the better choice. It has a more powerful engine and a longer bar length, making it more suitable for heavier duty tasks such as cutting larger trees or logs. However, the Echo 310 may be a better option if you only need a chainsaw for lighter tasks such as pruning or cutting smaller branches. Ultimately, the choice depends on your specific needs and budget.
