My gas generator will start and run with the pull cord but not with either the remote or the electric start button on the unit. New battery on generator, new batteries in remote. Any suggestions? Thx.

That schematic doesn't really match.
That is the schematic that is in the manual for the 201004. Is that number correct?

The battery switch on mine only has two positions.
The schematic is showing two positions for the battery switch. It has a 1-2 position, and a 2-3 position.

the battery switch lights properly.
Earlier you said the panel had "no activity". So, now the battery switch is lighting up, or you didn't notice it earlier?

I don't see a 5 amp fuse
A lot of people have difficulty finding the fuse. Its location varies on the different models, but try following the white wire from the starter solenoid up to the battery switch.

By "the panel" I meant the display panel (that's what I was asked). I did say the battery switch lights up. Thanks for the tip on the white wire.

@BarbNM BTW, there are two white wires and I cannot tell from the above photo which one is showing. But, the fuse might be okay since you are indicating the battery switch is lighting up.

So, I would suggest testing for voltage on the Blk/Wht wire that goes to the starter solenoid. It should have 12V that goes to 0V when the engine start switch is pressed to the Start position.
