I was hit by the tornado and storms in Cleveland last night. My little WEN DF400i generator has been running on propane since the early hours of the morning. I just turned it off and figured I would give it a rest while there is still sunlight, before I hook up another propane tank and let it go all night.
So conventional wisdom says that portable generators should not be run continuous. Well, what does that mean though? I shut it off, checked the oil and it's still good. How long is a good break?
