Found this broken float in the fuel tank. Whats it for please and where can I get it replaced please

It's the fuel gauge... or what's left of it. The lens is probably still installed on the tank and it appears that the white plastic part where the pivot/hinge is, broke off.

The one on the right of your picture is the fuel strainer. It sits inside the filler neck and filters out crud from gasoline as you pour it.

Those gauges are generic. Here are a couple of variations from Amazon with slightly different float arm length.
I am also replacing the gauge on th gen I'm working on. But because of the shorter float arm length on the new one, I will need to transfer the old arm to the new lens.
