I’m working on my Generator Shed 2.0 setup and id like to future proof some things for a 50amp setup. I already upgraded my inlet to panel run to 6/3 NM-B.

Manufactures spec sheets state (I checked a few) that their l14-30 connectors will accept up to 1.15 OD sleeves (6/4soow is 1.08).

Bit the terminals are rated for 10awg or 8awg. No mention of 6awg conductors.

Any chance that I can squeeze 6/4 soow into my Hubbell l14-30 connectors

Do what you want but it will come back to haunt you if your house burns down and the insurance inspector finds it and refuses to pay the losses.
An he will find it.
Go by the code and do it right.
Ask IowaGold about inspectors.
