Hi All,

I have a huge project. I'm knocking down years of growth with the weedeater FS55 from Stihl (using the string as usual-- and its a grind) The ground is too soft for a mower (very wet area).

The suggestion was made to put a saw blade on the seedeater, which seems like it would make the job easier. I went to the Stihl dealer in my town and they said the blades they carry (a tri-blade) would ruin the motor. Are there any saw blades that would be compatible with this FS55 weedeater? It was suggested that an Oregon blade at Home Depot that is not a tri-blade.

I don't want to ruin my equipment. Does anyone have any suggestions.

You need a solid shaft trimmer or atleast a pro series trimmer. FS90/91 or bigger.
