All the utility pumps say that they're for water. I want to change the fluid in my Rotary lift. Can't I use one of those portable electric pumps to pump out the old fluid and pump in new fluid? Should I flush out the pump with detergent afterwards?
so how many gallons do you need to pump?
use one of the hand crank drum pumps if it is under 100 gallons...
from there if you do a lot of hyd get a cart with a kidney filter system...
we use those for filtering and pump down on larger equipment that uses 100 gallons plus.
and load the hyd oil to ultra clean 150 gallon totes that can be moved with a fork truck.
and to re fill you run it through the filter socks again.
