With Onans, that usually means that no output power is being detected.

Unit start then stop when start button is released.
Not familiar with RV generator nor Onans. Custumer has an Onan 4KYFA26100K, serial number is I070109646. As the title states the unit starts and runs as long as the start button is pushed. As soon as the button is released the unit stops. No codes are flashed. Any suggestions are welcomed

Hold the start button longer to see if it sets a code. See page 10-5 of this PDF.
