I'm hearing a clicking sound from possibly the governor gear (I hope) when rotating the flywheel. When I rotate it by hand, it does it once every revolution. I just had the crankcase open, is it possible that I have the governor rod (that goes down into crankcase) in the wrong place and it isn't putting the correct resistance on the governor gear pin? Is the noise normal? Thanks in advance!

I took the crankcase cover off and the noise is the rod, which is odd.....accidental rhyme there...lol...anyway, there are no rod bearings and I torqued it to specs. The notches are lined up and everything was super clean. I used to drag race and build my motors, so this was....well seemed simple anyway. The rod has up and down play on the crank in addition to the normal side-to-side play. Doesn't make sense. I even re-torqued the rod cap and it still has play....ugh!
