I have a stihl ms170 that is driving me to drink. (not a bad thing) I rebuilt the carb and now i dont have any adjustment on the high idle screw, also blowing a lot smoke.Appreciate any help out there. gepp

Rebuilding a carburetor is a tricky task. If you know for sure it is just a carburetor problem, you may be better of getting the model number off of the carburetor itself. i.e Walbro, Tillotson, or Zama and purchasing the carburetor. (Lot cheaper). Also check your fuel/oil ratio, lines, etc.

Rebuilt the carb again making sure that you have not missed out on anything, gasket(s) upside down etc..! too much smoke is too much fuel (rich)
