I have an eu7000 Honda with hard wired remote . When trying to start in the house when you push the button it sometimes starts and not. When I turn the on off switch the monitor lights up but flashes. Have checked connections seems fine . Could it be the switch or has anyone else run into this
Thanks

I did a search and found a FAQ page for the remote that hopefully will be of some help to you

Here's the wiring diagram for the slightly older version of the Honda Remote Starter:

Here is an image of remote start
That appears to be P/N 32380-Z37-820ZA, but I can't find a schematic for it.

If you are good with a multimeter, you might be able to figure out the issue. Could be as simple as a bad switch. Or it could be that the wiring between the remote and gen is broken.

You say that it works sometimes, so I would bet on a switch that is going bad and occasionally not making contact.

I am assuming that the gen starts okay if you try it at the gen (not using the remote). If you have the same issue when not using the remote, then it is not the remote...it is something wrong with the gen.

check the connections..
i bet you have a bad cable.
or a bad connector...
is the battery new??? if not.... it needs changed.
we make custom cables for ours.
and use silicone covered high temp wire...
way better grade than on the kits as they are from honda.
