I want to store my battery in my garage and need to put a quick disconnect on the battery from the generator rather than installing the bolts and screws in below zero/snow. Anyone use such a connection? My Generator is just outside my garage side door.

yup and they make the anderson setup for larger cables as well!
300 amp and up.
any good parts store should have them for a price...
and solder is the way to go!

or you can go an onboard battery charger!
we use them on every thing right now.
and get 8-10 years out of a battery.
click here for the battery charger page
we like the little solar brand unit for $37.38 usd as of 11/22/2020
we use them in the honda eu7000is units as they sit over the top of the battery nice!
and there is a knock out in the battery cover for the cord!

yea a smart battery charger is the way to go!
there are solar panels and charge regulators if you are total remote off the grid...
but that is bucks for those..
or use a small panel like for rv battery outside of the storage shed roof facing south ish.
