I recently got an older compressor works good but it needed drained when I went to drain it there was significant buildup preventing it from draining I poked a hole in the sludge with a screw and stupidly dropped the screw in the tank is it still safe to use with a screw rolling around inside?

Layladog,

Yeah I think you should be OK draining the built up water in the tank might be problematic but any loose bolt probably won't hurt anything.

I wouldnt worry about it either, it's not like it'll be dancing around in there. Next time try a piece of coat hanger wire.
