hi,

i have this trimmer im trying to fix. it will idle, but if i give it throttle, it dies. the only way i can rev it up is to ease on the throttle slowly. then it dies once i get to high throttle. i can make a video of this and post it. it seems to prefer the choke.

i also realized the other day that the fuel filter was floating around in the gas tank. i put it back but still have a ? about it that hard to describe.

here is a video on each question. sorry the one of it running is so long. you can fast foreward through it.

link is not working on the video

some of the small engine carbs need the needles adjusted, the cant be from the factory, but with a dremel you can cut a slice into the top "head" of the needle so it can be adjusted with a flat head

I rarely rebuild carbs any more. The parts are almost as much as a replacement carb. be sure to first clean the fuel tank and ad fresh fuel. Also replace any inlet or fuel filters, and use fresh fuel. also i've had better luck with a premium 2 cycle oil, synthetic if you can find it. I allways use husqvarna as it has a fuel stabilizer in it.
