Hello,
My 2200 Watt generator does this when there's no load:


Maybe a dirty carburateur because of the 10% ethanol they put in our gasoline in my country.

It's called, "hunting." If it only does this with no load, it's likely not going to hurt anything. The carburetor mixture adjustment is probably slightly off. Locate the high speed mixture screw on the carburetor. It's probably on the bottom. Make note of its position so you can put it back like you found it if this doesn't fix the problem. Turn the screw about an eighth to a quarter of a turn clockwise and note if the symptom changes. If it gets worse, turn the screw back an eighth to a quarter turn beyond the original setting and again note if the symptom changes. I'm betting that will clear up your problem. Be sure to test it under load after you're finished.
