This saw worked fine at end of last summer. Sat over winter (with stabilizer in it) and now when it starts it smokes like crazy. Soking continues with choke on and then you turn choke off it sputters and dies. There is a fair amount of black oil coming out muffler/exhaust with all this smoke.

Looking to determine if this type of smoking is carb/gas/oil related or brake/drum/chain realted? The chain seems to move fine.

Any chance you could have doubled the oil mix? Seems like too much oil in the fuel. Just a guess. Could you try replacing the fuel as a means of eliminating this as a possibility?

Quite possible with me :) but it wasnt smoking last month or so when used last. I will swap out the gas for an easy test.
