I have a Honda GX200 engine on a Northstar generator. One day while pressure washing the back porch, the engine just quit. Restart and run 2-3 seconds and quit, again, again, and again. Took carb apart, cleaned and reinstalled. Engine started on first pull, sputtering, so turned off choke and engine ran perfectly for 5 - 10 minutes until I moved the throttle a fraction. Engine stopped and will not restart. Any ideas?

BTW, new to the forum and it looks to be very helpful.

Thanks,
fish.

I would get a new carb and replace the old one. They are cheap, whether it's for a generator or a pressure washer.

You can check the following suggestions.

1. Check the gravity feed fuel from tank, lines, etc as well as Check rocker arms
3. Also, clean fuel cap vent holes.
5. Try to start it while water flowing through pump
6. Try to hold the throttle at WOT when starting it.
