I am looking at replacing my Weedeater Hedge Trimmer that has been nothing but trouble for several years. Looking at the Stihl HS 45. See good and bad reviews. Most of the bad ones are with Carb problems. Any of you guys own one and can give some insight?

HS45 is definitely a step up from your old ones. I personally own and like the ECHO brand of hedge trimmers for these reasons.

1) Less plastic
2) No carb issues
3) No ignition coil issues
4) Longer gear life due to better quality gears
5) Easier to sharpen blades with a die grinder
