A friend has off-grid solar power for his home. He also has a portable, dual powered, electric push-button start, generator.
On multiple cloudy days, he wants to recharge the solar batteries with his generator. He needs to know how/where to wire the generator to make it auto-start when the battery bank voltage reaches a certain low point.
He knows the components he needs to add to his solar system, but not how/where to connect to the wiring on the generator for auto-starting.
BTW - The generator electric-powered push start button is a momentary on-type switch. He says the back of the switch has four poles, but the switch is only wired to two poles.
We are wondering if maybe the new (auto-start) pos/neg wires can be wired to the other two poles?
Could it be that easy?
If not, what other suggestions/directions are out there?
Thanks in advance for your answers. ✌
