That would be the best use of it and/or selling for handles for various tools. We usually burn oak, white and red in the cold season too.

Your right, it's almost like working out in a gym but more demanding depending on your gym routine.

Looked up some video footage on the dechero from last Aug. that hit Iowa, just like hurricane storm footage minus the water damage experienced by coastal areas from hurricanes.
So much destruction with any storm w/ that amount of strength and power.

I think the worst storm that hit the US in my lifetime and has had the most overall devastation was the Covid 19 epdemic,
we're still reeling from it and probably never recover.

yup
and the hits just keep on coming!
rolling black outs now with the heat wave.
and we are not late summer yet!
WOW!

lol get the wood pile set for large this winter of 2021/2022
we have 1/2 all ready now.
and are looking at a couple of good sites for when the temps break for cool am temps.
we like 50 deg f or colder for working wood and over cast days.
drop and chunk to logs or coins...
then store in the back of the property for next year..
and work down in early to late fall.

and it depends if it is green or already to burn.

We've had record heat here also but having small break now...the outages are going to continue since we just
allowed Russia to continue their massive pipeline to Germany and shut down our Keystone pipeline.

So, we'll be dependent on Saudi Arabia and others for our oil related needs...$5.00 gal fuel is in our near future...
very sad and stupid decisions.

Great idea on firewood strategy.
