My DuroMax 9000 has a rotating hours indicator, but it seems to only indicate the current runtime in hours and hours:minutes. Am I missing something?

I think I recall this being discussed before, but I don't remember where it is.

You can also get other meters. This one, as an example, has a battery and does not loose its runtime information when changing the battery per comments. There are others available too.

My Champion is weird too. Give me separate hour, voltage and frequency meters any day.

My cheap Wen DF1100 has a funky single gauge with a hard to press cycle button, but it gives cumulative hours. That is most important for maintenance. Right now, I am back to a spreadshett.

DuroMax support wrote that it should work the way you would expect: hrs:min for current runtime, hr for total runtime.
Mine doesn't. I wonder, whether there is a hidden dip switch or jumper they forget to set at the factory after runtime testing the generator to set it back to zero.
