I have had this generator for about ten years; it is used mostly for when the power to the house goes out. Yesterday, I went to start, which up until then, would fire with one pull. Yesterday, I went to start and pulled, nothing. I pulled about ten times, and it doesn't fire.
Oil is full, plenty of gas, plug looked good.....any ideas? At 79, I would really like to get it back to a one or two pull start.

Check for spark. It's new enough not to have points but coils can go bad too.
Does it have a "low oil" shutdown? Try disconnecting it.

As previously noted, weak coil, clogged fuel line/carb, defective on/off switch or low oil switch, etc. As it's a Briggs, take it to a small engine shop and have them go through it, everyone services those.
