Have a Cat RP800E that the co system is fried. I have emailed Cat trying to find small controller box with 8 pins it does not show it on parts list. They have not yet to get back to me. The Carbon monxide warning system I would like to wire around.

maybe you dropped a zero?
Cat RP8000E should be the model?
try just unplugging the c/o sensor and see if the gen runs.

click here take a look at this page
that is the factory cat page on this gen series
the owners manual as well as the service manual is on that page.

you can bypass the c/o detection for service shop testing.
and proving that the c/o unit is bad.
but for real world use do not by pass them as they are for customer protection.

I’m pretty sure all these CO sense generators can operate with the box unplugged.

most are setup that way...
at least for now.
you can trace down the wires and clip the shut down if the unplug does not work for test.

state fire code might not like disabling a safety feature as well as your insurance company in case of a claim.
