Update and moving on about the inherited Melben compressor. Any math/physics gurus out there?
Slapped on a 1.5Hp 3450 motor and a 2 inch drive pulley against the existing 14 inch compressor pulley giving me 500 rpms. 20 gal tank. Time to reach 80 psi from zero was 53 seconds and to 100 psi 72 seconds. Not commercial grade, for sure, but not bad for a freebie.
Any stabs at calculating CFM? Show me the math or an online calculator (still looking)?
