Is it safe to disconnect my 1/2 copper tubing at my pool heater and plumb in a 1/2 in propane hose to a portable generator 65 ' away.I have a120 gal propane tank.

is this for a temporary drop?
make a hose protector with wood for a no trip and no walk on hose run.
and use stress relief retainers on both ends.

you are better off with running a new line and run it safe under ground with valves with locks.
and is lower cost as well.

It will only be used for Hurricane or Tropical storm outages,we were without power for 14 days last year from Sally.Do you think 1/2" hose will be large enough to feed a Westinghouse 9,500 watt Duel Fuel from my 120 gal Propane Tank.I want to be able to coil up the hose and store between outages.

it depends.
are you running liquid or vapor in the hose?
if you are liquid then yes.
if it is vapor then no.
