Champion 2000 no voltage

I love these champion 2000 investors but just had a problem. Generator runs but no voltage. Tried the drill trick but no luck. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!

I don't think the drill trick applies to inverter generators. I'm sure there's some way to check for output from the generator itself, vs the inverter unit, to determine which one is having a problem, but you'd have to figure out exactly how to do that. I don't know if there is a service manual available for these.

To start with the easy stuff, the circuit breaker(s) isn't tripped, and the wires going to the receptacles are still attached?

To test the generator output as suggested view the below link. The video is for replacing a carburetor but shows how to access the inverter. The second link is the diagram showing the connection from the generator to the inverter. Should be a 5 prong connector with 3 red wires and 2 yellow wires.
Check continuity between the red wires then the yellow wires coming from generator. If good, check voltage between red wires. If voltage is not normal, check for voltage between the 2 yellow wires. Not sure but I think the yellow wires are for excitation.
