Voltage drop

Hello everone, I have an interesting issue with my genset.
Its a simmax attached to a kubota diesel.
The issue is that it sometimes only produces 35 volts of the 110 it is supposed to.
Normally it comes around and steps up to its 110 but is very inconsistant.
Once it does produce 110 volts it stays there.
Any ideas?

Does the voltage pick up when you apply some load? It’s perhaps running at idle until is sees some load?
