Generac GP17500E Question

We just endured a 7 day power outage here in Charleston, WV. I ran my Generac GP17500E for 100 hours during the outage. The display panel is calling for an oil change (no problem) and the owners manual is calling for a valve adjustment. Is this really necessary every 100 hours? It looks simple enough to do but a pain to deal with every four days of running time. Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

How soon do you want to buy a new motor. YES, do as the manual tells you. Cheap insurance. Roger

Changed oil and checked valve clearance today. Oil needed changed but valve clearance was spot-on. Not difficult to do and the gaskets are rubber and can be reused if you're careful removing the covers. No leaks! Thanks rhenning and 89yt12!
