This is my first thread so any help will be greatly appreciated. I have used many weed eaters such as stihl husqvarna echo etc and never experienced this issue. I have a husqvarna that run really hot when im using them. So hot to the point that it burns my forearm where i rest it ontop the motor housing. Every other weed eater ive used ive never had this problem. The echo is a few years old and the husqvarna i just got today from lowes. Any insight would be very appreciated. Thank you.
1. 2 cycle, check the spark arrest on the muffler. Remove the muffler and look into the cylinder to see if it is scored.
2. 4 cycle, over-head valves, check the valve adjustment to know the exhaust valve is seating vs loosing gas. You should easily find a youtub on the process if needed.
