help finding belt

i have an old ariens rototiller like 40 or 50 years old and no id on it anymore. it used to have reverse for the tines but i have installed a different engine with out the revers but the drive is the same. anyway now it is need of a belt, normal car belts fail to stay on it. can anyone tell me the type and maybe the size. i can't get the size as the back of the belt rubs the belt keeper. if anyone can get me the size and type so i can go to like lows or home depo to get one that will be a big help. the belt on it now is not even usable for a guide. thanks
if i can get a picture of it here i will. below is a link to a picture on the internet. both links work. thanks

shareable link from google

I don't have any experience with Ariens products, but the Gates Corporation (the guys that make hoses and belts) may be able to help you. Their number is 303-744-5800 for Technical Assistance. They have a vast catalog that looks like an old time phone book!
